Work & Holiday visa in Australia
The Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462) is designed for young adults who want to experience living and working in Australia for up to 12 months. The visa allows individuals to undertake short-term work to supplement their holiday funds while travelling and exploring Australia. The Work and Holiday Visa is available to passport holders from specific countries and requires applicants to meet certain age, education, and English language proficiency requirements. The visa also includes restrictions on the type of work that can be undertaken and limits on the duration of employment with any one employer.
Eligibility
Age requirement: The applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years (inclusive) at the time of application.
Nationality requirement: The applicant must hold a passport from an eligible country that has a reciprocal agreement with Australia, such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and many European and Asian countries.
Education requirement: The applicant must have completed at least two years of tertiary education (university or college) or have completed equivalent training or work experience.
English proficiency requirement: The applicant must demonstrate a functional level of English language proficiency by passing an approved English language test.
Health and character requirements: The applicant must meet health and character requirements.
Sufficient funds: The applicant must have sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay in Australia.
No dependents: The applicant must not have any dependent children accompanying them to Australia.
